The Bull's Head and The Chop House

There are two top of the line restaurants on Monroe Ave (right next to each other) just across the street from the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel: The Chop House and The Bull's Head Tavern

The Chop House: 190 Monroe ave (616) 451-6131
This is one of Grand Rapids' high end restaurants. Expect fine dining, delectable food, and a healthy tab of at least $50 for two people. But a little secret, your birthday dinner is free, with the purchase of another dinner. This restaurant also has a basement dessert and cigar bar called La Dolce Vita. The name speaks for itself- the sweet life.
The Bull's Head Tavern: 188 Monroe Avenue Northwest, Grand Rapids (616) 454-3580
Love this business casual restaurant. This 'tavern' is definitely more laid back than The Chop House. They have delicious sangria, pasta, sandwiches and fried kalamari. The martinis are also pretty bomb (a good thing LOL) here. The summer brings outdoor shaded seating that comes with great people watching. Try a Wednesday summer night for dinner and catch Blues on Mall in Rosa Parks Circle right around the corner. Expect to pay around $30 for two people.
