East Grand Rapids Gaslight Village boasts plenty of awesome restaurants and shops, but I will give you a couple of my faves in this post. So I will be honest and admit that I just ate Rose's Express for the first time a week ago but it made it to my favorite list that quick. Just to warn you- it's definitely a take out place. There is no seating except a couple of stools to wait on your food. But I walked in and looked at the menu and literally almost got 5 different menu items. I wanted to eat the butternut squash soup, chicken pesto penne, wood oven pizza, goat cheese based spinach dip and a salad all in one sitting. I ended up going with the BBQ chicken pizza because apparently Rose's Express is especially known for their pizzas... Best choice EVER! I'm not a big girl or anything but I PUT DOWN on that pizza and ate 4 slices. LOL yikes. Plus, the guys who were working were awesome, friendly and super helpful in making my dinner decision. If you live in GR and like pizza and have not been here...GO! Tonight!

Next, one of, if not my favorite ice cream shop in the GR area: Jersey Junction. Oh my yum. Their waffle cones, tons of different flavors of your fave ice creams and frozen yogurts and the old school candy selection makes this place the perfect dessert. Watch out, there will probably be a line... because it's that amazing.
