1. Madcap Coffee: 98 Monroe Center NW Grand Rapids (616) 242 9194
Madcap is one of Grand Rapids' premier coffee shops. Many businesses around Michigan buy Madcap's coffee to serve and sell. This shop is often study central with their chill atmosphere. Open 7a-7p but don't try to come here on a Sunday, it's closed.
2.Rowster's: 632 Wealthy St. (616) 780 7777
My friend Daniel, who is probably the most hipster person I know, is a Rowster's regular. He told me about this awesome, super trendy coffee spot. Best latte I've had in awhile. I didn't know exactly what to get but the guy at the counter told me he'd make me something I'd like and sure enough. Also, coffee is served in mason jars...can you get more hipster than that? Lol. Definitely recommended :)
3. Kava House: 1445 Lake Dr. SE Grand Rapids (616) 451 8600 What's my favorite thing to do after yoga class? Hit up THIS joint for a frozen low carb mocha coffee. Yes and yes. This shop is located in the heart of Eastown and I've mentioned it before. Good place to read, chat, do homework or eat...pastries, so many yummy pastries. M&M cookie says it all.
4.Sparrows: 1035 Wealthy St SE, Grand Rapids (616) 608 3375
Hipster central. But a really good cup of coffee. Also, I get all of my Smitten with the Mitten t-shirts here!!
5.Bitter End: 752 Fulton St NW, Grand Rapids (616) 451 6061
I think this and maybe one other coffee shop in Grandville, are the only 24/7 coffee shops in Grandville. During exam week Bitterend is packed to the max all hours of the day. I would recommend the Snickers frozen big train granada OR their hot caramel apple cider in the fall.
