Grand Rapids is in the first stages of getting ready for Art Prize 2012. While walking to a coffee shop downtown I started seeing some art work popping up! I have a good feeling about it this year...the steam pig year, meh, but this year should be good. With an unprecedented prize $$ of over $300,000 in prizes and the winner receiving $200,000 this year is not just big, it's huge! This is the fourth year of Art Prize and it never fails to bring tons of artists and tourists to downtown GR. I will definitely be doing some more organized posting about places to hit during Art Prize soon, but this is just a heads up :) The collage pic is a couple quick pics I took on my phone of this year's set up and the other 3 pictures are from last year's art prize!
