Grand Valley State University is located in the small town of Allendale...unfortunately there is not a TON of things to do in Allendale and my roommates and I would often find ourselves at the Meijer on Lake Michigan drive at midnight, just shopping and buying more DVDs. But there are in fact, a couple things to do in Allendale.
1. Peppinos: 4647 Lake Michigan dr, Allendale Township
Delish food, good drinks, karaoke, college nights, big screen tvs make this a go-to for sure
2. Main St. Pub: 11240 University Pkwy, Allendale, MI 49401 I would certainly recommend this restaurant to everyone. SUCH good food! Ranch Fritter Wrap? Yes please. A brownie sundae to top it off? Yes. Very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. They also have a good bar and good staff. Karaoke on certain nights of the week...lol My freshmen year I got on the front page of the GR press while singing karaoke there.
3. Post Family Farms: So technically Post Family Farms is in Hudsonville but it is very close to Grand Valley's campus. 5081 Bauer rd, Hudsonville, MI. This is a fall activity place to go but it is adorable and makes for a super fun October day. They have homemade apple cider, a pumpkin patch, donuts...the whole shebang (sp? Lol).
4. DQ, Jet's Pizza, Jimmy John's, Bigbys: Want something familiar? Allendale has all the typicals as well :)
***If you really want to be adventurous though...take the 15minute drive into GR, where there is more things to do and people to meet!!

I've been checking out allendale apartments for the last two weeks and the Meadows Crossing apartments looked great. Are they as good as they look? Any downsides?
